First Church Tutors Complete Nine Years of Helping Students Succeed

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others…” — 1 Peter 4:10

The First United Methodist Church (FUMC) OASIS Tutors are thrilled to announce the successful completion of 9 (nine) years of partnership with the Madison School District through the OASIS Intergenerational Tutoring Program. This nationally acclaimed non-profit organization promotes literacy by helping students in grades K–3 improve their reading, writing, and communication skills. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of our dedicated tutors for generously sharing their time, talents, and patience with these students.
The Madison School District is currently transitioning its volunteer recruitment process to be managed by its Human Resources Department. As they navigate this new process, we remain fully committed to serving our community. We invite you to join this ministry as a tutor or volunteer for the 2026–2027 school year, and forward.
