We Will Miss Renae McKee

Dear Friends at First Church – 

Dear Friends at First United Methodist Church –
It has been a privilege to be a member of the Congregational Care Ministry team. Thank you for an amazing time, cultivating and nourishing relationships, within and outside the church community. I am so grateful to those who have supported my coming, and deeply humbled by the many who have asked me to stay. It has not been an easy decision for me, who has been identified by her work, to resign my 6-month employment as planned.

The reasons for my leaving are the following: I am seeking to change, to create some new stories, to re-purpose some old ideas, and to develop other meaningful passions. Some people call this retirement, self-care, and/or choosing to live one’s best life, and making a proactive pivot to do so. This is my new plan, and intent.

Finally, although I am leaving my position with congregational care, I am not changing my commitment to attendance and service at First Church. You are stuck with me and I with you!
