First United Methodist Church offers several ways to honor your loved ones. For additional information please contact the church office at (602) 263-5013 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Set between the Sanctuary and Jones Chapel, the memorial garden is a memorial to the Rev. George A. Boss, the first pastor of our church at it’s present location. The beautiful and tranquil setting is here for all to enjoy. For many, it recalls the tradition of the rural church with adjoining cemetery. A service conducted by a member of the clergy of the church will be held at each internment or scattering.
Cremated remains may be placed in urns behind polished granite inscriptions in our columbarium.
For those who would prefer to scatter the ashes of their loved one(s) directly into the ground, we have a Scatter Garden. An engraving can then be made on the Memory Wall if you choose.
Memory Wall Plaque
The Memory Wall is located just outside of the Sanctuary and is dedicated to engraved plates depicting the name, birth date and death date of the individual interred or commemorated. Please call the church office at 602.263.5013 for pricing.
Friendship Patio Brick
Purchasing an engraved brick for the Friendship Patio is a way to recognize or honor your family or loved ones in a permanent way. To order a brick, please download the form, fill it out and return it to the church office. Forms are also available in the church office.
Scripture Garden Plaque
The area outside classroom 106, which previously was the location of our labyrinth, was renovated into a beautiful Scripture Garden. New landscaping, scripture plaques and patio furniture were added with generous contributions and memorial gifts. Select your loved one(s) favorite Bible verse or Psalm and have it engraved in a beautiful bronze plaque. Please call the church office at 602.263.5013 for pricing.
